Dean of Research Office

 
  • The Office of the Dean of Research is pleased to invite you to a workshop on the Palestinian-Quebec Science Bridge at 11:00 am on Tuesday, 10 December 2019, in M001. We will review and answer any questions you may have about the application criteria and the registration process, in addition to going through the list of interested Canadian researchers and all the universities in Quebec, both French- and English-speaking institutions where you can find research partners. The deadline for submitting these applications is 20 December 2019, and the interviews will be conducted at the beginning of the new year to allow for recipients to maximize their visits during the summer.

Dean of Students Office

 

Search for Jobs Training Course

The Career Guidance Office concluded the fall semester training course titled “Skills to Search for a Job” in which 45 students from different faculties participated. The Career Guidance Office organizes these training courses periodically in order to help graduates find jobs.

 

Model United Nations Conference

Fifteen Bethlehem University students participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) Conference that was held at the Caesar Hotel Ramallah on Friday and Saturday, 29-30 November 2019.

The Palestinian Institute of Public Diplomacy (PIPD) and German NGO Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) organized the Palestine Universities MUN Conference 2019. Read More

 

Human Sexuality Workshop

The Counseling Office, in cooperation with Muntada Al Jinsaniyeh - Haifa, implemented a training workshop on campus about Human Sexuality for 3rd and 4th year students from different departments. Twenty students attended the 40 hours of training to develop self-awareness to deal with gender from moral and cultural perspectives in order to communicate effectively with the community.

 

International Day of Disabled Persons

The Committee for Students with Disabilities, which is part of the Counseling Office, organized activity on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons marked globally on Tuesday, 3 December 2019. Students from the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, and Social Work departments participated in holding interactive activities on campus. Community-based institutions dealing with persons with disabilities also participated in the display of their products on campus including Al-Malath, Crossing for Communication and Development, Mental Health Hospital and Bethany Shelter.

The Counseling Office would like to thank all those who participated in the success of the activities of the day. Also, many thanks to the students who volunteered to help in the organization of the event. Together towards affirming the rights of persons with disabilities to a fair life and equal opportunities.

Faculty of Education

 

The Social Committee of the Faculty of Education organized various educational activities in cooperation with Hogar Nino Dios, a home run for disabled children in Bethlehem, on Thursday, 5 December 2019, in line with its mission to strengthen social relations between the students and the local community. The students of the committee distributed gifts that added Joy and happiness to the children.

Athletics Department

 

The Athletics Department recognized some outstanding female athletes who graduated from Bethlehem University and resumed a career in sports. The recognition was held on Friday, 29 November 2019, during the Gala Dinner that was held to support the new “Georgette Salameh Center.” The Director of the Department, Ms. Samar Al-Araj Mousa gave a speech and praised the role of the talented coaches and players who played an important role in building the sport reputation of the university among other Palestinian universities. Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray and Executive Vice President Dr. Michel Sansour handed the graduates plaques of appreciation. The athletes were Lucy Thaljieh, Ruqaya Malash, Ghada Rumman, Jacqueline Jazrawi, Haya Mousa, Tala Abu Eid, and Shaden Abu Zulf.
