The cost of a ticket for Faculty / Staff and their partners is 150 NIS.
The cost of a ticket for guests is 200 NIS.

Dean of Research Office

  • The Office of the Dean of Research, in collaboration with the Research Council, is pleased to invite you to attend the fourth meeting of the BU Research Group titled, “Collaboration in Research across the disciplines and institutions,” which will be held at 11:45 am on Thursday, 7 November 2019, in L005. This session will be facilitated by Dr. Muin Jaber, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Mr. Nader Abu Saad, Lecturer in CAIS; Ms. Huda Musleh, Lecturer in the Faculty of Education; and Dr. Suaad Al-Abed, Assistant Professor of Education at Al-Quds Open University. The session aims at discussing the nature of collaborative research between researchers from different disciplines at the same university and between researchers from different universities. It also aims at offering practical suggestions regarding best practices in collaborative research projects in terms of conceiving the idea, developing research tools and methodology, and the implementation and writing process until the research project is published in peer-reviewed journals.

New Faculty Orientation Session on Designing Course Outline and Writing Learning Outcomes

Director of CETL Dr. Hala Nassar gave an informative session to the new faculty who joined Bethlehem University in the fall semester of this year on effective ways to design a clear and concise course outline. Dr. Nassar also gave tools, ideas, and examples on how to write course learning outcomes, using the updated Bloom's Taxonomy of 2001. The faculty who attended the session asked questions on the levels of the taxonomy and how they could integrate it into their current course outlines in a clearer manner, as well as their future courses. The participants also demanded an extra session on the topic. Dr. Nassar informed the faculty that the CETL is the place to help teachers with this topic either as groups or individuals. She also presented ways on how the Learning Outcomes should be measurable, subject to a transparent assessment and evaluation methods, and gave them concrete examples.

Dean of Students Office


Dean of Students Office Staff Visit Faculty of Nursing Qubeibeh 

Dean of Students Office staff: Adnan Ramadan, Amani Atrash, Saher Khair and Mai Jaber, visited the Faculty of Nursing in Qubeibeh on Monday, 28 October 2019, in cooperation and coordination with Mr. Osama Zahran and Sister Mary. They met with the students to introduce them to the Dean of Students staff, the services provided, and the activities implemented by the Office. The staff encouraged all students to participate in these activities. The Dean of Students Office staff expressed their thanks and gratitude to Sr. Mary and Mr. Osama for their great welcome.


Panel Discussion on "Secularism: Between Theory and Practice”

The Books not Walls group, from the cultural activations unit in the Dean of Students Office, organized a panel discussion on the title” Secularism Between Theory and Practice” on Thursday, 31 October 2019. The discussion was attended by a group of students and teachers.


Drawing Competition Entitled "Olive: Tree of Heaven”

Student Widad Jeries from the Faculty of Science came in fourth place in the drawing competition under the title “Olive: Tree of Heaven”. The competition was organized by the Environment Education Center in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Palestinian students' activities committee, for all Palestinian Universities students. Widad was awarded $50 during the 19th Annual Olive Harvest Festival: "Staying as an Olive Tree”, which was held on Saturday, 2 November 2019, in the Manager Square. Congratulations Widad.


Honoring Employees

Under the supervision of the Dean of Students Office, the Student Senate honored employees in the Plant Personnel department on Thursday, 31 October 2019, to show appreciation for their good work.


Alternative Cafeteria

The Progressive Student Action Front, under the supervision of the Dean of Students Office, organized an activity titled “Student Cafeteria” on Thursday, 31 October 2019, on campus. This activity included several corners including Falafel Sandwiches, books, and jewelry. The proceeds of this activity were provided to the needy student fund and the donation campaign to the Augusta Victoria Hospital.


Donation Campaign for Cancer Patients at the Augusta Victoria Hospital

Bethlehem University students, under the supervision of the Dean of Students Affairs office, organized a donation campaign to support the cancer patients at the Augusta Victoria Hospital last week on campus. The campaign was launched after a solidarity pause attended by a large number of students participated and continued for four days. This campaign was part of contributing to social responsibility, like other universities and community institutions.
