Tickets for the Fundraising Gala Dinner, which will be held on Friday, 29 November 2019, at 7:30 pm at Nissan Banqueting Hall, Bethlehem, are available now at the Advancement Office.

The cost of a ticket for Faculty/ Staff and their partners is 150 NIS.
The cost of a ticket for guests is 200 NIS.

The Recruitment Team


On Thursday, 12 September 2019, the Student Recruitment Team held its annual meeting with the counselors of several private schools in the Bethlehem and Jerusalem areas. Following the welcoming remarks by Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray, the Executive Vice President Dr. Micheal Sansur highlighted the importance of cooperation between Bethlehem University and secondary schools in the area. He also focused on the importance of school counselors in guiding their students in career paths, higher education, or vocational training. The counselors were briefed on the main issues faced by Bethlehem University with first-year students fresh out of high school, including lack of awareness of University life and confusion. Statistics were shown about the enrollment of students from their schools at Bethlehem University. Copies of the Student Guide to Bethlehem University were distributed to the counselors.

Dean of Students Office


Welcoming Festival

Under the supervision of the Dean of Students Office, the Student Senate organized a welcoming festival for new students of the academic year 2019-2020 on Thursday, 19 September 2019. A variety of music and folklore activities was featured at the festival.


Cultural Day of Ecuador 

The Dean of Students Office in cooperation with the Advancement Office and the representatives of the Republic of Ecuador organized a cultural day of Ecuador on Thursday, 19 September 2019, in the De La Salle Hall. A powerpoint presentation and a video were presented to explain the cultural, environmental and climate diversity of Ecuador. A photo gallery was also put up on the first floor of the building. An additional activity will be held in the near future to taste the most famous products in Ecuador (cocoa, coffee, and chocolate).

Department of Software Engineering


Mr. Nader Abu Saad from the Department of Software Engineering joined a research group with a partner Quebec researcher this summer from Tuesday, 2 July 2019 until Friday, 2 August 2019 at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). The research is titled "An Observational Study on the State of REST API Uses in Android Mobile Applications". A software architectural style that defines a set of constraints to be used for creating Web services. They conducted an observational study on the state of the practice of REST APIs used in Android mobile apps. They will continue their work on Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture to identify the differences between the Microservices architecture and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), identify patterns, good practices, and example applications that they could analyze later in the research.
