Dean of Students Office


Drama Team Wins third place in Drama Competition

Drama team of the Dean of Student’s Affairs office, participated in the drama competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in partnership with Palestinian universities. The competition was held at Bir Zeit University on Tuesday, 06 August 2019. BU drama team won third place and received a trophy and $1000 cash prize. We thank the drama team, the students, Saed Abu Zer, Sema Shamrakha, Layaly Awwad and Ghassan Manasrah. We also thank the support team, student Lama Wazwz who organized the musical performance, student Jamileh Janazreh who took photos and videos. Also we thank BU graduate Raed Abu Zer and Mr. Ibrahim Noiemi who supported the team in their preparation for the competition.  We also express gratitude to Mr. Munther Bannoura from Al Hara Theater and Mr. Khalid Al Masou from Inad Theater for their support.

We hope this team will enhance its performance and grow to win better prizes.  All kinds of support are needed to ensure its sustainability.

Congratulations to our dear students we are so proud of you and your achievements.


Participation in an Evaluating Session

Mai Jaber, Assistant to the Dean of Students, participated in an evaluation session organized by the Palestine Global Platform, titled “Harvesting results”. The session was held on Thursday, 8 August 2019 which was held in the presence of a group of partners and young activists. In this respect, a two-month training workshop was implemented for a group of BU students in the art of debate. The outcome of this training and all activities and workshops were evaluated during this session.  The Dean of Student’s Affairs Office expresses its appreciation to the programs, trainings and cooperation that was done for our students and looks forward to continue to collaborate and train other groups of students in many different fields.


Orientation Program for New Intake

Bethlehem University welcomes the new students on Wednesday, 21 August 2019, at 8:30 am, in the orientation program which is organized by the office of the Dean of Students' Affairs in cooperation with the different Faculties and Departments at the university. Let us work together for a fruitful and a successful start of a new university life.

Department of Physical and Occupational Therapy


Five Bethlehem University Occupational Therapy students recently returned from successfully completing a summer course at the University of Southern California. They underwent a rigorous selection process to be accepted.  They represented Bethlehem University and Palestine. The funding was raised through a varied yearlong campaign including selling cup cakes, to applying to organizations such as ANERA who generously sponsored their flights. In total $17,500 dollars were raised. The fund raising was coordinated by Suzy Daher, Chair of Department of Physical and Occupational Therapy.
