The Advancement Office team acknowledges with deep appreciation the continued and generous support of our Local and International Friends and Donors. We would like to share with you some of the successful grants we recently received to support our community and the development projects of Bethlehem University.

  • A grant from the Munib R. Masri Development Foundation to support “The Thirteenth Literary Conference entitled “The Palestinian Literary Criticism: Problems, Expectations, and Vision".
  • A grant from the United Palestinian Appeal (UPA) to support the seventh annual conference entitled “Development in Palestine: Trends and Alternatives”.
  • Two grants from the New Zealand Embassy in Cairo; the first grant to support the quality of education for students with disabilities at Bethlehem University, and the second to support the purchase some needed musical equipment and uniforms to enrich Bethlehem University Student lives through Music, Dance and Drama.
  • A grant from Al Mashreq Insurance Company to support the annual Career Day.
  • Two Grants from CNEWA- Pontifical Mission to support the Week of Mathematics Project at the Campus of Bethlehem University and the George Nasra “Turathuna Center for Palestinian Heritage” Summer Camp Activity.
  • Two generous grants from the E Foundation and Caritas Pro Vitae Gradu to support the development of the John Patrick Cardinal Foley Hall as a facility for the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Participation of Student Senate President in the Meeting of Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research

Mohammad As’ad, head of the Students' Senate participated in a meeting organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.  The meeting was held on Tuesday 2nd July 2019 in Ramallah, and was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and and Scientific Research, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mois and heads of student senates in all Palestinian universities.  Several issues were discussed in the meeting, including the lending fund and the admissoin average for bridging students.  A follow up workshop will be organized by the ministry in the near future for all the heads of the student senates.


The Counseling Office held a training workshop on campus on "Human Sexuality" for 3rd and 4th year students from different departments in cooperation with Muntada Al-Jinsaniyeh in Haifa. Twenty students attended the 30-hour training to develop self-awareness on how to deal with gender from moral and cultural perspectives in order to communicate effectively with the community.
