Dean of Research Office

  • We invite you to a public lecture on digital media, violence, and militarism, by Dr. Rebecca L. Stein. Dr. Stein is a professor of Anthropology at Duke University (USA) who researches the intersection of new media technologies and militarism in the context of the Israeli military occupation. Her lecture will address the question: what can the study of digital media teach us about violence and militarism? What kind of critical scholarly tools do we need to make sense of the ways that populations are using social media as militarized tools? This is both a methodology workshop about visual studies and digital studies, and an introduction to her research about Israeli military culture. The lecture will be held on Monday, 3 December 2018, at 9:30 am in M403.

  • You can follow the latest updates on Call for Papers, and Grants and Fellowship Opportunities on the website of Dean of Research.
