Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences/ Oncology and Palliative Care Program

For the second consecutive year, the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences was able to send nurses to get part of their clinical placement training in the field of Oncology and Palliative care to London and Glasgow hospitals. The training was sponsored by the hospitals and the Mayor of Glasgow.

We were able to send two of our students, Bilal Awad and Mohamad Salah, to get the training from 1 until 12 October 2018. They were trained by Mr. Gerry O’hare, Mr. Matthew Fowler, and a group of nurses and doctors who are specialized in Oncology and Palliative care.

This is considered as one of the important milestones of the program besides the high-quality teaching delivered to the students over 18 months. This way, we guarantee to produce fully equipped nurses who are ready to serve cancer patients with higher level of services as well as to improve the field itself.
