“I thought it very appropriate that this is the 72nd anniversary of Nakba Day, May 15, and we at Friends of Bethlehem in Sydney are able to contribute to giving a young deserving Palestinian student a chance of an excellent professional job and a life career in Palestine. I am sure that the local inner-city Sydney activist woman who gave us these funds as her bequest, Ms. Jane Carew Howarth, would be extremely happy today to be seeing this happen, exactly as she intended supporting Palestine.”
