Internationally Renowned Organizations Visit Bethlehem University, Encourage Students to Study Abroad

AMIDEASTWhile the rigorous academics at Bethlehem University certainly prepare students for success, so do the relationships that the University has with notable organizations around the world that provide opportunities for scholarships and internships abroad, exposing students and recent graduates to some of the top programs in the world.

Most recently, students enjoyed a visit to campus from AMIDEAST -- a leading American non-profit organization engaged in international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa.

AMIDEAST presented its programs for the coming year to dozens of third- and fourth-year Bethlehem University students. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is one of the main AMIDEAST programs for studying abroad. The program provides scholarships that cover expenses incurred for travel to and from the United States, tuition, books, health insurance, and room and board.

The U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem was also part of the discussion, responding to questions from students and talking to students about the process needed to obtain a student visa. Later in the week, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) held a session on campus for students, graduates, and faculty to present different programs of scholarships and study visits.
