Reina Hazboun ’07: Alumna holds a leading position

Reina Hazboun - Career Tips SessionQualified and motivated graduates of Bethlehem University, particularly female graduates, hold many top positions in a variety of local organizations and companies. Ms. Reina Hazboun, ‘07, is an example of an outstanding graduate who works as the Human Resources Manager at National Insurance Company in Ramallah.

Ms. Reina graduated from Bethlehem University in 2007 with a degree English. She then earned her master degree in 2010 in Human Resource Management from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in the United Kingdom.

After obtaining her advanced degree abroad, Ms. Reina returned to Palestine to put her newly acquired skills to use. In her position today, Ms. Reina practices the knowledge gained through her studies to develop an effective Human Resources management system in the company.

Being in a senior position in a big company requires a strong personality and a positive attitude as Reina manages all the matters related to employees.

In gratitude to Bethlehem University, Reina was pleased to accept an invitation from the Alumni Relations Office at Bethlehem University this past summer to share her personal experience with others. Reina gave the Bethlehem University students important career tips, including what to wear and how to behave during an interview, how to negotiate with an employer, how to impress the employer, and how to be prepared for any interview.

“It is great to come back to Bethlehem University, that unique place where I learned that hard work, confidence, and following your dreams – especially for the Palestinian girls – can make all the difference,” Ms. Reina said.

Ms. Reina’s session was a part of Alumni Relations mission, which seeks to foster an ever greater on-going relationship with all graduates. Ms. Reina, and other graduates like her, are playing a vital role in building Palestinian society.
