University Professors from Rome visit Bethlehem University
On January 3, 2017, a delegation of professors from several of the largest universities in Rome visited Bethlehem University. The delegation was led by Bishop Lorenzo Leuzzi, Auxiliary Bishop of Rome for Universities and Hospitals, and was joined by journalists from the Italian television channel, LA7, and the Vatican Radio. Brother Peter Bray, FSC, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University, and Mr. Luigi Bisceglia, MICAD coordinator, welcomed the group in Furno Hall where they discussed possible collaboration opportunities. Invitations were extended to Brother Peter Bray and Bethlehem University students to attend meetings and training courses, respectively, in Rome. Every year, a meeting is organized for presidents and professors of Catholic institutions in the Mediterranean area. Brother Peter Bray and a representative of the university were invited to attend this year’s June meeting, which will cover the social and political impact of universities in their countries. Bethlehem University students are also expected to participate in a training course about Peace and Development this year.
