Samer Hanania, BU’04 shares his experience with BU students
On Friday, November 18th, the Alumni Relations Office hosted Mr. Samer Hanania who, for the past nine years, has held the position of HR Generalist at Nestlé.
Samer graduated from Bethlehem University in 2004 from the Shucri Ibrahim Dabdoub Faculty of Business Administration with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Nestlé is a Swiss transnational food and drink company headquartered in Switzerland; it is known to be the largest food company in the world.
Having a senior position in a big company requires a strong personality and a positive attitude, Mr. Hanania exemplifies these characteristics as he manages all matters related to employees. To show his gratitude to his university, he was pleased to accept an invitation from the Alumni Relations Office at Bethlehem University in order to share his personal experiences with others, especially with the students. He gave Bethlehem University students important career tips, including advice on preparing for a job interview.
As HR officer, he gave them tips on what to wear and how to behave during an interview, and how to negotiate with and impress an employer.
“It is great to be back at Bethlehem University, that unique place where I learned the importance of hard work, confidence, and following your dreams,” said Mr. Hanania.
His session was part of the Alumni Relations Office’s mission which seeks to foster ever greater, on-going relationships with all graduates. Mr. Hanania and other graduates like him play a vital role in building the Palestinian society.
