UNDP Representative Visits Bethlehem University
Mr. Roberto Valent, UNDP Special Representative of the Administrator, visited Bethlehem University on Friday, November 4, 2016. He was accompanied by Mr. Khaled Shahwan, Deputy Special Representative (Operations), and Ms. Dania Darwish, Communications Specialist. In his welcoming remarks, Br. Peter Bray, FSC, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University, mentioned that, “our challenge is to keep the hope alive.” He expressed his gratitude for the guests’ visit to campus as it brings hope to students. Having visitors on campus assures students that they are not alone and that there are people from outside who are always willing to provide them with help and support. Following the display of a short video about the University, the guests enjoyed a lunch prepared by the students of the
Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism. During the lunch, a discussion took place about possible future cooperation through student internship programs at UNDP offices.
