The group, led by Father Donald Senior, president of the CTU, was welcomed by Brother Joe Loewenstein, FSC, President Emeritus of Bethlehem University, who explained the value of the Chapel of the Divine Child and how it resembles the mission of Bethlehem University in the Holy Land.

Following this introduction, Brother Peter Bray, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University, spoke to the group about future plans for the university and the difficulties it faces in accomplishing its mission, as well as the persistence by the University to keep hope alive among Palestinians. A 15-minute film abut the university titled "Beacon of Hope," which further speaks about the work Bethlehem University is doing in Palestine, was shown.

The visit ended with a discussion with some of the students at Furno hall, where they answered questions about being students at Bethlehem University and the difficulties they are facing, such as going through checkpoints on daily basis to get to school in addition to the financial difficulties most of the students face.
