Bethlehem University Hotel Management Learns About, Promotes Local Products

Hotel managementOn the hilly terrain of Beit Jala, adjacent to the city of Bethlehem and a few miles from Jerusalem, sits the Cremisan winery, nestled in breathtaking forest and vineyards. On the 12th of October, students and staff from the Hotel Management were invited to this beautiful site to see how “Palestinian vino” is made.  The group was hosted by Fr. Franco Luciano, who welcomed them warmly.

Students and staff witnessed the expert work by wine specialists from Italy, led by Mr. Andrea Bonini, a specialist in the field. The visitors also partook in a round of wine tasting of the different wines. Cremisan produces and sells seven quality table wines - Blanc de Blancs, Chardonnay, Old Hock, Cotes de Cremisan, David’s Tower, and Cabernet Sauvignon Old Red - as well as Marsala, Messa and Port, dessert wines.

Mr. Nabil Al-Mufdi , Director of Hotel Management at Bethlehem University says the visit to Cremisan was not only an educational trip but a chance to introduce locals to learn more about one of the finest products on the market, especially because it is Palestinian produced. “I think it’s important to publicize locally produced products and here in southern Palestine, we have a product to brag about.” The students had an amazing experience and expressed sincere interest in what they had seen and learned; hoping that they will visit again in the near future. They highly recommend Cremisan products for those looking for a fine wine and a way to support local products. Click here to visit their website.
