Master in Tourism Studies (MRTS)

MRTS Program

The Master has a 24-month schedule covering two academic years - each divided into a fall and a spring semester - and it is taught part-time in order to let the participants continue their working activities. Lectures are developed by local and international professors.

The first academic year comprises six courses, while the second academic year is made of five courses and a thesis: each course is divided into a series of modules.

At the end of the Program the participants are accompanied on field visits in Palestine which provides them with valuable experience. Based on the visits as well as on the work experience that they have, participants will be required to write a thesis. Finally, the thesis will be discussed and approved by a committee from MRTS professors. The degree is awarded upon the successful completion of all course requirements and approval of the thesis, after which the diploma will be awarded.

“MRTS” is affiliated with the Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism that already offers a BA degree of Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management. “MRTS” was developed in collaboration with the Shucri Ibrahim Dabdoub Faculty of Business Administration that already offers the highly successful accredited Master of International Cooperation and Development that was initiated by Bethlehem University and supported by various European Universities.
