Admission to MRTS

The MRTS program is addressed to a wide range of candidates interested in the study of tourism and development issues in Palestine. The participants will be selected among NGOs officers and staff members, International organizations’ personnel, public administrations employees and young university graduates. Basic requirements are a fluent knowledge of the English language, a B.A. degree in any discipline with a high final mark and a good familiarity with the principal software applications. Regarding the English language, the Toeic (Test of English for International Communication) is required.

Basic requirements are a B.A. Degree in any discipline supported by academic transcripts with a GPA above 2.5 on a scale of 4.00 (equivalent to 75 on a scale of 100); fluency in spoken and written English; standard computer literacy. Fluency in any language other than Arabic is an asset. Working or volunteering experiences in Tourism development projects are appreciated.

The selection procedure will be divided into two phases: the first will be based on the results of the TOEIC followed by a second phase that is an interview to be held a few weeks before the beginning of the Courses. The first class will include a maximum of 25 participants.  Only applicants who earn 700 (on a scale of 1000) or more on the TOEIC exam will be called on for an interview.

The English test will take place at Bethlehem University. Applicants, who have already taken the test, either on their own or in previous sessions, may be exempted from re-taking the test. In this case they should submit a copy of their TOEIC score together with the application form.

* Detailed information on TOEIC is available at www.ets.org/toeic

MRTS Scientific Committee will coordinate the selection procedures and be the sole responsible for all admissions.
