The Office of the Dean of Research and the Research Council are pleased to invite you to attend the second colloquium in the Research and Creativity colloquia series for the 2021-2022 academic year. Mr. Rizek Sleibi, Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, will present this colloquium. This event will be held at 11:45 am on Thursday 21/10/ 2021 in Furno Hall.
Abstract:
Despite the importance of inclusive education in the vision of the Ministry of Education that was approved in 2015 to promote an education system that does not exclude any student, regardless of any difficulty they may face, there is a discrepancy in the methods and strategies that teachers use to achieve the goals of inclusive education. This research project examines the teaching approaches that teachers implement and the extent to which they are centered around the student and the possibilities of developing flexible curricula, teaching and instructional materials, and assessment mechanisms that can be adapted to the individual needs of learners. The results of the research indicate the need for defining the qualification requirements for inclusive education teachers and recommendations for improving the competencies of the inclusive education and special education supervisors in the education directorates.
Your attendance enriches the discussion and supports a culture of excellence in research at Bethlehem University.
