FOM-110 Module: The Hotel Reservation Process
Module Description & Objectives:
This module will cover the basic procedures in a hotel reservation process. Through lecture-discussions and hands-on activities, each participant will learn how to manually handle the reservation function.
Module Learning Outcomes:
Upon satisfactory completion of this module, a participant should have the ability to:
- Identify the sources of reservations
- Describe the types of reservations.
- Enumerate the typical activities associated with the reservations process.
- Apply the basic steps in handling reservations.
Prior Learning/Prerequisites:
Participants must successfully complete FOM-101 Welcome to the Front Office Department! before proceeding. Ideally, each participant should have taken previous courses such as Principles of Tourism and Personality Development.
Program Duration & Capacity:
Three (3) sessions, three (3) hours each.
Maximum 25 participants.
Target Group:
The target group is students interested in front-of-the-house positions of a hotel, specifically in the Front Office Department.
