Meet the Chair

Hala Rashed Al-Yamani, Ph.D., is an associate professor of education and the Chairperson of the Department of Early Childhood Education. Dr. Hala received her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Wales Bangor University in the UK and has a long experience as an early childhood educator of children from 4 to 9 years old. She leads projects and researches related to early childhood education particularly the ones related to training teachers and using drama as a teaching and learning pedagogy in pre-service and in-service programs in the cultural and intercultural contexts. She has authored a number of publications related to using drama as a good tool in training teachers in pre-service and in-service programs.
