The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability held an interactive educational activity as part of its weekly children’s program. This week’s session focused on how animals adapt to the winter season, addressing challenges such as finding food, conserving energy, and surviving colder temperatures.
Children learned about various survival strategies, including hibernation, migration, and behavioral or physical adaptations that help animals thrive in different environments. As a creative component of the session, participants painted models of shelters specifically designed to support birds during the winter months.
This activity aimed to deepen children’s understanding of biodiversity in a fun and engaging way while fostering a sense of responsibility for protecting wildlife and their habitats.
