The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) has initiated its olive harvest activities at the PIBS Botanical Garden, inviting the public to participate in this important agricultural tradition.
This year’s harvest demonstrated strong community involvement, with participation from various groups. The PIBS team was joined by local and international volunteers, along with students from Bethlehem University’s Bachelor’s Program in English Language, Literature, and Communications and four American students. Children from the weekly educational activities also contributed, as did a group from the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
PIBS encourages everyone to come together to celebrate this rich tradition while making a positive impact on the community and the environment.
