In line with Bethlehem University’s mission to uplift and serve communities, the Faculty of Nursing at the Qubeibeh Branch, in collaboration with Dunya Women’s Cancer Center, organized a crucial lecture and hands-on workshop on breast cancer awareness and early detection.
Students were provided with a comprehensive overview of the disease, covering its causes, risk factors, and detection methods. Afterward, they engaged in practical training on performing breast self-examinations, transforming theory into life-saving skills.
These students are now prepared to take their knowledge beyond the classroom, delivering awareness lectures in remote and marginalized villages. By raising awareness and encouraging early screenings, they aim to foster a culture of prevention, embodying Bethlehem University’s dedication to creating positive change in underserved communities.
This activity is one of several activities to be organized during Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
