On Wednesday, 17 July 2024, The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) had the privilege of hosting Ms. Ruba Al-Ghadban, the newly appointed Executive Director of the Munib and Angela Almasri Foundation (MAMF), and Mr. Ziad Abu Erdeeneh, Projects Manager at MAMF.
During their visit, they toured PIBS’s renovation project, which aims to transform an existing building into a national-level natural history museum. This project will expand the exhibition space from 120m² to 1,360m², significantly enhancing PIBS’s capacity to showcase Palestine’s rich natural heritage.
The upgraded museum will serve as a vital educational resource, featuring improved exhibits and programs designed to foster a deeper appreciation for Palestine’s biodiversity and support environmental conservation efforts.
This ambitious project is generously funded by Munib and Angela Almasri Foundation (MAMF) and the American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA). During their visit, the MAMF representatives reviewed the progress and vision of this transformative expansion.
PIBS looks forward to continuing its collaboration with these organizations to advance biodiversity conservation and environmental education throughout Palestine.
