The English Department at Bethlehem University is proud to announce the participation of Ms. Paola Handal and Ms. Maram Daboub at the prestigious TESOL 2024 Building Bridges, Building Cooperation: Unveiling Challenges & Best Practices in ELT. Held annually, this conference serves as a global platform for educators and experts in English language teaching.
Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict, Ms. Paola and Ms. Maram were determined to contribute to this event. While they were unable to physically attend the conference in the United States, they seized the opportunity to present virtually. Their dedication and innovative spirit were evident as they shared their insights and expertise with participants from around the world.
The focus of their presentation was on “Inquiry-based Learning: English for Specific Purposes with Palestinian Teacher Candidates.” Through this engaging session, Ms. Paola and Ms. Maram explored the transformative potential of inquiry-based learning in the context of English language education. Drawing from their experiences working with Education majors, they delved into effective strategies and best practices for incorporating inquiry-based approaches into English language instruction.
By sharing their knowledge, Ms. Paola and Ms. Maram exemplified the commitment of the English Department at Bethlehem University to promoting innovative teaching methodologies and advancing English language education.
