A “dining etiquettes” workshop for student ambassadors with valuable insights into proper dining etiquette and social decorum was held on 7 March 2024 at Bethlehem University. Held in the tranquil atmosphere of the Institute of the Hotel Management, the workshop allowed students to enjoy a meal while learning essential skills.
Mr. Elias Juha, Director of the Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, led the interactive and engaging workshop, emphasizing the importance of first impressions and proper etiquette resonated with the students, highlighting how these factors contribute to professionalism and respect in various settings. Through practical demonstrations and interactive activities, students were able to refine their understanding of table manners, utensil usage, and dining posture when welcoming visitors to campus. Brother Jack Curran, Vice President for Advancement, and Brother Mark McKeon, Coordinator of Institutional Values, blessed and shared the meal provided with the student ambassadors.
This workshop left a lasting impact on the student ambassadors. Student Ambassador, Nancy Ghannam, an Accounting major student, reflected on the invaluable lessons gained. “This workshop has not only equipped me with practical skills but has also instilled a sense of professionalism that will serve me well in future endeavors,” she remarked.
Amjaad Musleh, Guest Relations Officer, is in charge of the Student Ambassador Program and is dedicated to providing students with essential life skills that reflects the university’s commitment to holistic education. Overall, the workshop served as a testament to Bethlehem University’s mission to nurture well-rounded individuals ready to make a positive impact on society.
