Mission and Objective
The Department of Engineering offers a major in Sustainable Energy Engineering, which has been accredited by the Commission for Accreditation and Quality in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in March 2023.
The Faculty of Applied Sciences, Technology, and Engineering, in collaboration with the Shukri Ibrahim Dabdoub Faculty of Business Administration and in partnership with the Salesian Don Bosco Foundation in Bethlehem, has developed a five-year Bachelor’s program in Sustainable Energy Engineering. This program is significant as it allows students to earn a degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering, opening up career opportunities in the field of renewable energy engineering, a crucial direction at the global level.
Students will gain knowledge about the importance of sustainable energy and its primary sources, along with a thorough understanding of sustainable energy systems, their components, and the interaction between these components. This includes acquired knowledge in sustainable energy technologies, various storage technologies, distribution networks, and smart grids, including sensor devices.
The facilities of the former Salesian industrial school in Bethlehem will be utilized to implement this educational project.
