Layth Awwad, MA.

Mr. Awwad is a published writer and poet who currently teaches full-time in the English Department at Bethlehem University. One of Mr. Awwad’s achievements is receiving the Chevening Scholarship in 2018, which provided him with the opportunity to study Writing MA at Warwick University, and to publish a fiction extract in Warwick’s Writing Anthology entitled CHIMERA.

His primary research interests focus on teaching of English, poetics, and World Literature in relation to identity politics, critical theory, and popular culture. These interests are reflected in his writings that explore questions of identity, “othering”, and gender. Mr. Awwad is an alumna of Bethlehem University, class of 2017.
