The new ECG device, which was donated by Chilean Company, Isatec in cooperation with the University of Chile, is the first of its kind in Palestine, and can be connected to computer software so patients’ information can be stored along with their medical history and results can be printed out at any time. Further benefits are that the device is small and portable.
This key diagnostic tool will be used for the benefit of many and we will be able to train the students in its use, after the training which will be conducted by the donor company and the University of Chile.
This device will give an opportunity for our students to gain experience in performing ECGs and will be used to serve the community after the establishment of the Nursing clinic on campus.
The Dean of Nursing expressed gratitude to the Isatec and the University of Chile for this kind and special donation which is the first of its kind at any Palestinian university or hospital.
