Four faculty members from the Tarek Juffali Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences participated in an exchange visit to the Faculty of Nursing at DIAK University in Helsinki/ Finland as part of Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching and training between program and partner countries from Monday, 9 until Sunday, 15 May 2022.
The four members; Amal Fakhouri, Etaf Maqboul, Fatemeh Hammad, and NourAldin Talbishi, participated in meetings that explore future cooperation between our faculty, DIAK University, HAMK UAS in Finland, and Al-Aqsa University in Gaza Strip. They discussed the proposal that will be submitted to ERASMUS plus in February 2023 which will focus on climate change and the integration of this topic within our curriculum.
The faculty members gave presentations to nursing students at DIAK University. Amal gave two presentations about the health system and child health in Palestine. Etaf gave two presentations about the Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) in our Palestinian health sector and about our Faculty of Nursing programs and the clinical training. Fatima presented about the nursing history and the nursing programs in Palestine in addition to the women’s health in Palestine. Nouraldin’s presentations were about mechanical ventilation, post-cardiac arrest care, and Innovation Methodologies in Nursing Education. The faculty members also had the opportunity to experience the virtual simulation training.
