Vision, Mission, and Objectives
Vision
We aim to create stimulating educational and research environments that cater to the needs of society in the fields of early childhood education and community participation. Our goal is to prepare learners who are capable of acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for the advancement of Palestinian society.
Mission
In the Department of Early Childhood Education, we are dedicated to preparing qualified teachers by offering practical and high-quality classroom and field experiences that encourage critical thinking and creativity. This, in turn, helps elevate the standard of education and provides optimal learning experiences for children at the Pre-school and Lower Basic levels.
Objectives
The Department of Early Childhood Education aims to achieve its mission by:
- Providing learners with cognitive, educational competencies, and skills necessary to work with children in challenging and marginalized environments, both in formal and informal contexts.
- Identifying the developmental stages of learners in early, middle, and late childhood.
- Promoting critical and creative thinking in learners through active and purposeful engagement in classroom and non-curricular activities.
- Integrating the learning derived from interactive experiences among teachers, learners, and the community into a curriculum that is continuously evolving using action and participatory research methods.
- Promoting the concept of community participation and responsibility with community centers and early childhood institutions and organizations.
