Bethlehem University welcomed H.E. Mr. Jozef Hudec, Head of the Slovak Representative Office, and H. E. Mr. George Jabra, Slovakian Honorary Consul in Bethlehem on Tuesday, 10 August 2021.
Executive Vice President Rev. Dr. Iyad Twal, Vice President for Advancement Brother Belayneh Medhanit, and Director of Advancement Ms. Dalia Qumsieh welcomed the delegation.
Rev. Dr. Twal briefed the delegation about the establishment of Bethlehem University in 1973 and its historical background especially after the visit of Pope Paul VI to the Holy Land in 1964.
H. E. Mr. Hudec was keen on knowing more about Bethlehem University, its faculties and programs, and discussed possible ways of future academic cooperation with Slovak Universities.
The delegation was also briefed on the Development Plans of Bethlehem University during the meeting which was followed by a tour of campus.
They then enjoyed lunch in the Institute of Hotel Management training restaurant where food was cooked and served by Bethlehem University’s students.
