Bethlehem University hosted an orientation day for high school students, organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education on Wednesday, 28 February 2018.
The orientation day, coordinated by the Recruitment Committee, aimed to introduce the students to different academic programs in Palestinian universities. Over 1500 students from 39 schools in Bethlehem, Hebron and Ramallah attended the event.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Michael Sansur, Executive Vice President of Bethlehem University, encouraged high school students to seize this opportunity to learn more about the different universities and the programs offered.
Dr. Sansur said “Bethlehem University is proud to host such event for its positive impact in providing students with the guidance they need to select their future higher education.”
Mr. Sami Mruwa, Director of the Bethlehem Directorate of the Ministry of Education, thanked Bethlehem University for hosting the event and encouraged the students to take advantage from such an opportunity which would help them in taking the right decisions in choosing their future career paths.
In addition to Bethlehem University, other Palestinian universities participated including Al-Quds University, Birzeit University, Palestine Technical University “Khadoori”, Al-Quds Open University, Palestine Polytechnic University, Hebron University, Abrahamic College, Arab American University, Dar Al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture, An-Najah National University, and Palestine Ahliya University.
This is the fourth event of a series of similar ones to be organized by the Ministry of Education in coordination with the Palestinian universities.
