On Thursday, May 4, 2017, the Dean of Students Office organized Honors Day to recognize and celebrate outstanding students.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mahmud Hammad, the Dean of Students, congratulated and thanked the students for their efforts. He also extended thanks to their parents and professors who provided the students with encouragement and a healthy learning environment.
Dr. Irene Hazou, Vice President for Academic Affairs, commended the outstanding students for their hard work and expressed the University’s pride in them saying, “Your success is our success.” She addressed each class providing words of encouragement in hopes of seeing the freshmen, sophomore, and junior students at the event again next year. She especially congratulated seniors for their upcoming graduation.
The two students with the highest GPA in the Fall and Spring 2016 semesters from each faculty received plagues for their achievement, and certificates were distributed to all students with a 3.5 GPA or above. The event was attended by deans of faculties, heads of departments, students, and parents.
The Dean of Students Office extends its congratulations to outstanding students and wishes all students the best of luck in their final exams.
