Celebrating Women at Bethlehem University
In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 and Mother’s Day on March 21, the Dean of Students Office organized the March Flower Festival. The campus-wide festival was organized in cooperation with the Student Senate, the Athletic Department, Afaq group, Unleash Your Dreams, and Books Not Walls. Each group set up a booth to celebrate and recognize the role of women in Palestinian society and culture, and students took part in the celebration by singing, reciting poems, and participating in cultural and athletic events. The Student Senate also distributed flowers to female students and staff at the university. With a student body that is 78% female, Bethlehem University is proud to contribute to the support and development of women in Palestine.
Also in March, the Office of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at Bethlehem University celebrated International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day by inviting all female employees to a buffet prepared by the Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism. Brother Peter Bray, FSC, Vice Chancellor, expressed his appreciation to all female employees for their hard work and dedication to the University.
