More Books Pour In as University Library Prepares for the Summer Session

We are grateful to Dr. Muna Matar, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs,  as she shares with the Library two books in Arabic which she received as gifts during her recent visit to Ibilin, Galilee, with Archbishop Elias Chacour.

The first book in Arabic, a translation from English, is Arch. Chacour’s  first book “Blood Brothers” published in the 1980s. It was well received and widely read as it spoke deeply of peace and reconciliation amidst the turmoil and socio-political Arab-Israeli conflict .

The second book, also in the Arabic language was written in memory of Father Majid Attallah (1932-2007) from Galilee describing Father Majid’s work and ministry among the youth belonging to the Catholic Scout Association.

As books come in – purchased or donated, electronic or hard print, new, old and rare!  – we affirm and reinforce the reality that Bethlehem University Library is indeed an “intellectual hub” in the words of the Vice Chancellor, Brother Peter Bray, FSC.

Come and be part of the “intellectual hub” – be sure you come with an intellectual energy and drive to be on top!
