Bethlehem University and FCA/SCORE International Plan Sports Training

Bethlehem University is pleased to announce a forthcoming collaboration with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and SCORE International to enhance athletic development and sports education for its students and the broader Bethlehem community.

On a recent visit to the university, a delegation from FCA and SCORE—represented by Mike White, Coach Dennis Dye, and Joey Canavati—met with Dr. Mohammad Awad, Dean of Students, and Ms. Samar Mousa, Director of the Athletics Unit. Together, they planned a basketball training course for junior athletes and an advanced coaching course scheduled for June 2025.

In addition to athletic training, the delegation and university officials outlined a plan to host a specialized workshop on sports injuries. This workshop will target both physical therapy students and coaches of university and local sports teams in Bethlehem Governorate, offering practical, hands-on knowledge in injury prevention and management.

This collaboration aligns with Bethlehem University’s mission to promote holistic education that integrates physical well-being with academic and personal development. It also underscores the university’s commitment to building meaningful partnerships that enrich the student experience and support the broader community.

By providing young athletes, students, and coaches with access to international expertise and training, Bethlehem University continues to position itself as a center for academic and extracurricular excellence—ensuring its graduates are well-prepared to lead, serve, and inspire.
