On 6 March 2025, Bethlehem University’s Zbierski Library hosted Exploring Skills: A Journey of Self-Discovery, a session led by Library Director Ms. Elizabeth Dsouza. Thirteen eager students participated, engaging in deep reflection and discussions to uncover their hidden talents.
Through guided questions, students identified and documented their strengths, creating personal skill inventories. The session was an eye-opener, revealing not only individual potential but also the diverse talents within the group—from technical expertise and artistic creativity to problem-solving and interpersonal abilities.
A key moment was the mutual recognition of skills – some forgotten talents were recalled by peers, highlighting the deep connections among participants. This self-discovery process-built confidence, encouraged appreciation, and fostered collaboration.
By bringing hidden talents to light, the session emphasized the importance of self-awareness, personal growth, and community support. It reinforced that recognizing and nurturing one’s abilities strengthens both individual development and collective empowerment.
The objective of this session was to help individuals recognize, reflect on, and appreciate their own talents and abilities.
The session not only boosted confidence but also strengthened bonds, as students recognized and encouraged each other’s growth.
Special thanks to Library staff, Sana Salsa and Vera Koussa, for their valuable assistance.
