The Department of Technology, of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Technology & Engineering at Bethlehem University hosted a lecture today titled “An Innovative Noninvasive Approach to Treating Cancer Tumors.”
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Anan Copty, founder of SynergyMed, a Beit Jala-based startup specializing in medical devices.
Dr. Copty highlighted the role of computer simulations in developing treatment technologies, with a focus on electromagnetic simulations of microwave and radio frequency interactions with the human body and nanoparticles, as well as airflow simulation and mechanical stress analysis within the device.
He also showcased the activities of some department students working with the company in computer simulation and software engineering.
The lecture received a high level of engagement from the audience, reinforcing the importance of research and innovation in medical technology and the positive impact of modern disciplines in science and technology.
