Dr. Fadi Kattan Appointed New EVP

Bethlehem University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Fadi Kattan as its new Executive Vice President, effective Friday, 7 February 2025. This appointment, unanimously endorsed by the International Board of Regents, marks a significant milestone in the University’s continued mission to serve as a center of academic excellence and social development in Palestine.

Dr. Fadi Kattan is a proud alumnus of Bethlehem University, holding a BBA in Business and Accounting (1990), and has since built an illustrious career in academia and leadership. He earned his MBA in Finance from Lewis University in Illinois, USA, and a PhD in Accounting from the University of Bradford, UK. His professional qualifications include being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, USA) and a Palestinian Certified Public Accountant (PCPA).

Dr. Kattan has served in several prominent roles at Bethlehem University, including as Dean of the Shucri Ibrahim Dabdoub Faculty of Business Administration, where he championed curriculum innovation and accreditation processes. He also directed the Masters in International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) program, an internationally recognized initiative, and founded the Bethlehem Business Incubator (BBI) and the Bethlehem University Yunus Social Business Center, both of which have significantly contributed to entrepreneurial growth and social impact in Palestine.

A Transformative Role for Bethlehem University

As Executive Vice President, Dr. Kattan will oversee key initiatives to enhance the University’s mission and impact, including:

 Leading the Implementation of the Strategic Plan to ensure institutional growth and innovation.

  • Chairing the Budgeting and Finance Committee, promoting financial sustainability and operational excellence.
  • Overseeing the Capital Projects Committee, managing infrastructure development aligned with strategic goals.
  • Fostering International Initiatives, strengthening partnerships to secure vital resources for the University’s future.
  • Promoting Student Well-Being and Development, working closely with the Dean of Students to enrich the student experience.
  • Representing Bethlehem University at National and International Forums, raising the University’s profile globally.
