The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) is beginning its activities as part of the “Green Palestine” project, implemented by World Vision, featuring its Mobile Educational Unit—the first of its kind in Palestine. This initiative aims to educate children and communities across the West Bank about biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and the importance of preserving natural resources.
As part of the project, the mobile exhibition will visit 40 communities, conducting 80 visits in total, bringing interactive activities that raise awareness of environmental issues and sustainable practices. The goal is to reach as many students, universities, and remote communities as possible, sharing valuable knowledge on protecting the environment in their daily lives.
In preparation for the project, PIBS team members participated in a capacity-building training on child safeguarding protocols, conducted by World Vision’s Safeguarding Specialist on 21 January 2024. This training is part of PIBS’ ongoing efforts to enhance its team’s skills and ensure a safe and supportive environment for children throughout the project.
Through this collaboration with World Vision, PIBS continues its commitment to environmental education and sustainability, working to inspire positive change in communities across Palestine.
