On 12 December 2024, Bethlehem University celebrated the official launch of Womenity, the first Palestinian all-female digital English magazine for empowering campus voices. Under the Faculty of Arts, this groundbreaking initiative was created, written, and designed entirely by women, for women, and about women.
The event was led by Co-Editors-in-Chief, Ms. Paola Handal and Ms. Ruba Ayyad, alongside Ms. Tina Hazboun as Creative Director, and supported by a talented group of students from various faculties. Womenity embodies the power of storytelling, aiming to amplify the voices of women within the Bethlehem University community, share unique experiences, and highlight the remarkable achievements of women on campus.
During the launch, Ms. Handal, Ms. Ayyad, and Ms. Hazboun shared heartfelt words about the magazine’s mission, and the contributing writers explained the inspirations behind their pieces. Womenity aspires to become a recurring publication each semester, dedicated to providing a platform for women’s stories and perspectives on campus.
