The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University remains committed to engaging the community through a variety of weekly activities, each focusing on new topics and reaching diverse audiences.
On Thursday, 5 December 2024, PIBS hosted a webinar titled “Building Museums Fast: An Overview of Digital Exhibit Design and Fabrication.” This session, part of an ongoing series, provided valuable insights into the efficient creation of digital exhibits, showcasing the latest tools and techniques for designing interactive and educational museum displays.
Additionally, the Palestine Museum of Natural History welcomed student groups for educational visits. On Friday, 6 December 2024, they hosted Brother Alejandro’s Teaching Methods students from Bethlehem University. The visit served as a training session, equipping the students with effective strategies for communicating science and teaching environmental topics in an engaging way. During their visit, the students explored the Natural History Museum and the Botanical Garden, gaining valuable knowledge about biodiversity, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
To mark World Soil Day on 5 December 2024, the museum organized a special activity on Friday, 6 December. This event focused on the importance of soil in maintaining biodiversity, emphasizing the role of tiny organisms in supporting a healthy environment. Participants also explored the botanical garden to learn about the components of soil and how they contribute to the support of plants and animals.
