The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability organized its weekly educational activity for children on Friday, 18 October 2024, with this week’s theme centered around agriculture. As fall has arrived, the children took part in planting the community garden at the institute, preparing it for the new winter agricultural season.
Following the planting session, the children participated in a creative craft activity where they learned about various types of crops and where they grow. Through fun, interactive learning, they explored which crops grow underground, such as potatoes and carrots, and which thrive aboveground, like tomatoes and peppers. The activity was designed to foster a deeper understanding of agriculture and nature while sparking curiosity about how food is grown.
