Bethlehem University Student Shares Insights on Critical Thinking

On Thursday, 17 October 2024, the Zbierski Library hosted an engaging student activity titled “A Deep Dive into an Analytical Mind”, attracting a group of sixteen curious students.

The session began with warm welcomes from Ms. Elizabeth Dsouza and Sana Salsa, who introduced the featured presenter, Rayyan Salem, a first-year student with a passion for critical thinking. Rayyan’s presentation, supported by an eye-catching PowerPoint, delved into fascinating topics such as unlocking the mind, exploring pathways to deeper analysis, and sharpening critical thinking skills. She also touched on the various levels of thinking and highlighted the shortcomings of traditional education in nurturing a questioning, analytical mindset.

Drawing from her own experiences, Rayyan made learning come alive, presenting vivid examples of great minds like Nikola Tesla, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Bobby Fischer to illustrate how curiosity and innovation can transform the way we approach knowledge.

The students actively participated in a thought-provoking discussion that followed, exchanging ideas and reflecting on how they could apply these concepts to their own learning journeys. Elizabeth Dsouza concluded the session with heartfelt thanks to Rayyan for her inspiring and thought-provoking presentation, leaving the group motivated and eager to think differently.

It was a memorable and insightful event for all!
