Ms. Nadia Bani Shamseh, Director of the Brother Vincent Melhem Center at Bethlehem University, participated in the 10th Arabic Language Conference held in Dubai from 10-12 October 2024.
At the conference, Bani Shamseh chaired the 41st scientific session, titled “Teaching Skills for Non-Native Students of the Arabic Language.” The session featured presentations from professors from Arab countries such as Egypt, Syria, Oman, Algeria, and Morocco, who discussed various topics related to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
The conference highlighted modern strategies and methods for teaching Arabic, particularly in the context of Arabic language centers at Arab universities. The role of artificial intelligence in education was also explored, with discussions on its effectiveness in enhancing language learning.
The visit to Dubai provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with Arab and international centers and explore potential partnerships for innovative approaches to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
