The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) joined the global community in celebrating World Cleanup Day on Friday, 20 September 2024. PIBS organized a special educational event for children to promote environmental awareness and inspire positive behavioral change.
During the event, children learned about the importance of keeping the environment clean, proper waste disposal, and the harmful effects of pollution on biodiversity and climate change. The children then actively participated in cleaning up PIBS’s botanical garden, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for plants and animals.
Through this hands-on experience, PIBS aimed to empower children to become environmental stewards and take responsibility for protecting their surroundings.
