International Delegation Visits Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability

Despite the challenging circumstances facing Palestine, the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) continues to attract international interest. On Wednesday, 28 August 2024, PIBS welcomed a group of 33 visitors from the United States.

The delegation toured the institute’s natural history and ethnography exhibits, explored the botanical garden, and attended a talk by Dr. Mazen Qumsiyeh, a renowned expert in human rights, environmental justice, and activism. Dr. Qumsiyeh’s insights resonated deeply with the group, providing valuable context and understanding of the situation in Palestine.

The visit aimed to introduce the delegation to PIBS’s work and offer them a firsthand experience of the challenges faced by Palestinians. It also served as a platform for them to express their solidarity and support for the Palestinian people.
