The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) at Bethlehem University, in collaboration with the Lutheran World Foundation, organized today an environmental activity at Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness among hospital staff about the crucial role of agriculture in fostering biodiversity and enhancing overall health, particularly within the context of medical institutions.
The PIBS team delivered a speech highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and promoting green spaces within medical facilities.
During the event, Ms. Sieglinde Weinbrenner, Representative of the Lutheran World Foundation, and Dr. Fadi Al-Atrash, Chief Executive Officer of Augusta Victoria Hospital, joined hospital staff in planting two olive trees and several flowers in the hospital garden.
This event marks the beginning of a partnership between PIBS and the Lutheran World Foundation, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to serve our Palestinian community in Jerusalem.
