This week, the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) hosted a fun and educational program for children focused on insects, particularly their crucial role as pollinators.
The young participants began by exploring the importance of biodiversity in the success of agriculture. Through a guided tour of the botanical garden, they observed different insects and learned about their vital contribution to the garden’s ecosystem.
Following the tour, the children engaged in a creative activity using recycled cardboard to document their insect observations during the tour. Finally, they enjoyed some fresh and delicious fruits that these insects had helped pollinate.
